Freedom of information? Don’t make me laugh. I never believed an act guaranteeing freedom of information would work in the UK. British politics has always been secretive. But we had a healthy protest system to give them a reality check if they did wrong.
This is now gone – we have become a docile people sleepwalking towards totalitarianism … and MPs now say the freedom of information act doesn’t apply to them ...
… and now measures are going to be unveiled to deter ‘pointless and mischievous requests.’
Who decides what is pointless or mischievous? The Act either exists or it does not. It’s a bit like freedom ...
