What is your kid dreaming of for the future? A study by the London School of Economics may offer you a shock. Surveying 1,569 adults, their answer had a resounding single theme.
With most kids we think they want to be an astronaut, or a supermodel. Even when more realistic, it is most likely to be a pop star, a nurse, or an actor or teacher. But top of the list was a desire for a happy family with children.
This has surprised many people. But when you think about, it is no surprise at all. Most children’s dreams for the future involve the fantastic. And as a happy family becomes more and more unattainable, it appears to be fantastic still.
