AN AFRICAN TRAGEDY

Kenya seems to be approaching civil war as violence spreads and people worry about inter-tribal genocide once more. And what sparked it off? An election. The prize of the west – democracy – is leading other parts of the world to anarchy, again!
The immediate problem, here, is that democracy is not something that can be truly achieved without a culture of compromise over centuries. This is how long it took the west, and we are fools to think we can export it around the world so easily.

But Africa’s problems are much deeper than this.

You only have to look on a map of Africa to see it glaring at you. Look at all the straight lines that divide the continent into countries.
These straight lines represent the error of the European. Africa was carved up based on geography alone, while the real heart of the African people lies in their tribal inheritance. This is the reason for nearly all of Africa’s problems today.

So what can be done about it?

Well, first of all, let’s forget all that crap about Europeans apologizing for their past. All that does is ease our conscience and actually means nothing at all.
No, the only answer to the tragedy of Africa is to dismantle all the European influenced countries and return Africa to its endemic tribal cultures. Then, without tribal conflict within the countries – and without tribal argument that leads to famines and incompetent government – they can decide what their future is themselves.
With, of course, a great deal of help from the European, finally repairing the damage he caused in the first place.

How exactly is this accomplished? I like the theory, I am just curious what it looks like in practice? Especially with radical Islam in the African mix.

Hi John,
I haven't a clue. That's why we have strategists, soldiers, diplomats, politicians, entrepreneurs, charities...
I'm simply posing the possibility of a sensible direction. I suspect it would involve all of the above working together. And a lot of patience, especially with the Islamic mix you speak of.
But we begin by raising the idea, and then asking the questions.
