Bruce Forsyth celebrated his 80th birthday last week, and he is as nimble as a much younger man. It just goes to show that real celebrity is not dangerous to body or mind. As such, he is a marvelous role model to many of the pathetic celebrities today with ‘problems’.
Brucie has been part of my cultural life for fifty years. As a tiny kid I remember watching him in shows such as Sunday Night at the London Palladium. His Beat the Clock was just about the first popular game show, but I’ll forgive him for that.
Luckily, he has always been king of the game show, and his have always been worth watching. And I don’t think any entertainer has produced as many catch phrases as he has. Well, happy belated birthday, Brucie, and it will nice to see you, to see you nice in the future, too.
