Believe in God and you’re healthier. So says a recent survey of 8,500 people in America. Over eight years it was shown that Church-goers were 30% less likely to die during the survey.
Why is this? Is it truly a miracle? Quite possibly. But a miracle of human life and aspiration. Believing in God is like a constant form of therapy. Hence, you are unlikely to suffer stress as much as non-believers.
A belief in a strict code of conduct means you are more likely to say ‘no’ to what could harm you. Hence, a Church-goer is more likely to have a balanced diet, and refrain from harmful substances to excess.
So, believing in God just may be the healthy option. But then again …
